Introduction

Hello everyone!

Kim and I (Keith) are excited that you decided to view our blog. Here's a quick overview of our adoption journey.

We have been trying to start a family since the summer of 2001. Over the course of 4 years, we were pregnant 3 times and each time, it ended in a miscarriage. After our 2nd miscarriage (in 2004) we felt God telling us to adopt from China. But as we do sometimes, we didn't listen and we tried to get pregnant one more time. Well, in 2005, we found out we were pregnant again. Around 10 weeks into the pregnancy, Kim felt something was wrong. We had our 3rd miscarriage. This time we had genetic testing done to see what happened. We learned that we would have had a girl (her name was going to be Kinsley) and that the pregnancy ended due to some genetic abnormality.

So we knew that it was time to stop trying to get pregnant and to move to adoption.

We started the process at the end of July, 2005. Afer many hours of paperwork and leg work, our dossier was sent to China and logged in on December 14, 2005.
